We have been using OB's mirroring capabilities for about 2+ years. We have had no negative issues at all - it works great. As far as we know, auto-failover is working too. However, we have not had to test it during peak hours. It comes in handy in the middle of the night when we do daily routine maintenance. Occasionally we have to take a server down for upgrades and maintenance. When that time comes, we are hoping auto-failover will allow us to do our work around 10pm instead of 3am. These features are great security blankets when running a service that requires 24/7 up time.

I speak from our experience of having used OpenBase for close to 3 years now for our FlightArrivals.com site - which has been deployed and in production (7x24x365) for about 2 years now.... I am not aware of any other WebObjects based sites out there that is more database intensive and handles more traffic than FlightArrivals.com. Without prompt and dependable vendor support, we just wouldn't have been able to maintain the high service levels. OpenBase has been there for us!!

OpenBase does have all of the backend management and design tools... We are in the process of deploying a very complex system that manages the brokering of produce, manages the growers and their daily prices and availabilities, manages the truck and it's route/load from the Pacific Northwest back to the wholesalers in Dallas. Also does AR/AP/GL... Pulls a million records per call. Reduces same in less than one second to 1850 based on three indexes. Imports at the rate of 25,000 records per minute. And our client does about 40 million a year in sales.
